There was a time when a TV or a designer radiator was considered a bathroom extravaganza only the rich or the bathroom freak could want or afford. But these days, with the advance and lower costs of LCD and HDTVs, it is not out of the ordinary to see a bathroom fitted with a large, black TV. As for designer radiators, it seems like every fancy bathroom has one. You can get radiators in all kinds of material, shapes, sizes, colors, etc. nothing fancy about that any longer.
What is fancier, perhaps, is to have a complete home theater in the bathroom. Who, after all, spends that much time in a bathroom? But no, you or I may not be aware of this, but housewives do spend a large part of the day in the bathroom. So it’s not incongruous to think of a fashionable house with a home theater in a bathroom.
Another new thing can be a temperature controlled faucet system. You could set your water temperature for each faucet individually, and that will be that. I am not sure how useful this is, but at least, you can show it off to neighbors.
Bathrooms may also have robotic help. How about a little android backrub? Someone to hand over the soap, towel your back, or even just switch on the Jacuzzi whenever you want it, or do other little robotic help in the bathroom? Quite possible and, probably, already happening to some extent in the bathrooms of the extra rich.
A swimming pool in a bathroom? Does that even make sense? Swimming pools are supposed to be separate entities outside the immediate house. But just think of it, if you have the money, and want to do something unique with it, what’s keeping you from building your own swimming pool in your bathroom?
