So this 11 yr. old child apparently shot himself..supposedly after skipping school to play Halo. The media wants to blame the game or the gun. I say: why does an 11 yr old have access to a loaded gun and how is it he is home unsupervised? I point the finger at the parents. Lock up your guns so your children have zero access. If your household permits your child to handle a gun for hunting make certain he has gun safety training…and again…lock them up. And finally, don’t buy your 11-yr-old a game that involves shooting if he is too immature to distinguish game play from reality. We should not, as a country, have to dumb down our laws because you are too lazy or dumb to make responsible decisions to protect your children.
