Things are definitely changing. We came across this interesting story about Harvard and its decision to approve a BDSM sex club on campus. This isn’t a new thing, as S&M sex clubs have been sprouting up on campuses all across the country, particularly on Ivy league campuses. The popularity of erotic novel 50 Shades of Grey has certainly contributed to this trend.
Many things have changed since I was in college. The hookup culture has always been there but so many new ways have sprouted up. First, you had online dating of course, with things like adult dating sites making quick hookups even easier. Now things are even more in the open with these clubs. I want to go back to school!
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the first James Bond film, so there’s quite a bit of nostalgia over 007 and this iconic series. It’s probably a great time to look back at all of the great movie posters for the James Bond films, as many of them are iconic works of art. It’s frankly a great way to dress up a room. Just pick our your favorites, head to a poster frames depot and you’ll quickly have a great way to bring some life to a room in your home.
With the release of Skyfall, you’ll also have another option, though the newer posters just don’t compare to the classics that feature Roger Moore and Sean Connery. The old Bond girls were also more memorable as well, along with the villains like Goldfinger.
There have been tons of celebrations around the 50th anniversary, and you’ll see even more in November with the release of the new film. It’s a great time for collectors of James Bond memorabilia as well. There’s more interest if you have stuff to sell, and there more selection for buyers as people dig up old stuff from their attics.
But if you go the poster route, you can find new prints for cheap prices, so this won’t set you back too much.
If you’re in an NFL survival pool, chances are you got burned last week when the New England Patriots managed to lose in their home opener to the Arizona Cardinals. If you’re a betting man and you laid down the points you had no chance as the Patriots couldn’t even win the game outright. Not even the best sports betting minds could have predicted the Cardinals winning on the money line.
Which of course highlights the perils of betting early in the NFL season. Even with teams like the Patriots, we’re learning what the 2012 version is all about. For example, who would have predicted before the season that Wes Welker’s playing time would be reduced significantly and that there would be rumors of him being on the trading block. With the injury to Aaron Hernandez that might change a bit, but now the Patriots are bringing in Kellen Winslow so we may see Welker continue to spend many offensive snaps on the bench.
Of course this is early, and we might see Welker and the Patriots get back to their old form, but betters need to be careful, while fantasy football owners to drafted Welker high have to be bummed out.
The Patriots have been one of the most consistent success stories in the NFL, but things do change over time, so watch closely and be careful about laying down big money.
