Topless sunbathing banned on Paris beaches

It’s hard to like the French. They’re rude, snooty and a general pain in the ass. But at least they appreciate beautiful women sunbathing half-naked on their beaches. Not any more – at least in Paris. Officials have banned topless sunbathing and g-strings on the Paris beaches. It’s very strange – the French and other Europeans love to mock Americans for the Puritanical attitudes of many in this country, but now they’re emulating our worst qualities. George Bush and Jerry Falwell must be pleased.

Fortunately, the rest of France hasn’t joined this disturbing trend, so the next time I go to the French Riveria I can enjoy all the sights as I did in the past.
