Laughter… (Photo credit: leodelrosa…)
It is said that laughter is the best medicine, and if that is the case, everyone should have at least a small dose of laughter every day. People who can laugh at themselves, or even take a few minutes to see the humor in even the hardest times, well it can make those times just a bit easier.
As we are in the age of cyber communication, jokes, riddles, on-line funny stories and videos are all readily available for those times when you are seeking a lighter moment. Now the funny stuff is readily available through your cell phones or prepaid phones. There are apps available for every type of humor imaginable, and it is as easy as it can be to laugh throughout your day.
– Joke Of The Day. There is an app that will automatically send you a joke of the day. Each morning when you wake up, there is your first smile of the day. If you have more time, you can see more jokes, or just stick to that first morning fix. Your day is bound to be better if you can start it off happy and not sad or angry.
– Video Streaming. Funny home video TV shows have nothing on the web, available through your cell phone. Every amusing video that has gone viral can be accessed from your cell phone. It may be just a minute or two, but some videos are side-splitting funny.
– A Picture Says It All. Maybe you prefer to see something funny and not read about it.
This type of media is just as easily accessed from your smartphone. Just as jokes can be sent directly to your phone, pictures can too. Cartoons depicting anything from old fashioned humor, to up to the minute political satire are rampant among all types of social media these days.
– Share and Share Alike. The great thing about accessing jokes, videos, funny stories or funny pictures throughout your cell phone, is that you can keep on sharing them. Laughter is contagious, and the more you send to friends and relatives, the happier you will feel. Think of how you felt when you first read the joke or saw the cartoon. Sharing it with someone else gives them the opportunity to add a smile to their day as well.
When cell phones first hit the scene, it seemed they were just a way of communicating with each other in emergency situations, and were not used for much else. Fast forward just a few years and people everywhere have immediate access to anything through the cell phone. The cell phone is a useful tool for a lot of things. It is used to conduct business and communicate with anyone anywhere in the world. Why shouldn’t it also make us smile each and every day? It just might make the world a better place.
