The Tiger Woods story keeps getting more bizarre. Yesterday, Health Central Hospital in Orlando, Florida was back as part of the story as Elin Nordegren’s mother was taken to the hospital. She has since been released, but the entire episode just added to the media frenzy surrounding this story. It also brings the spotlight back to Tiger’s home situation. Will Elin be leaving Tiger soon to escape back to Sweden? There’s also speculation that Tiger and Elin may escape nearer to Sweden together.
Meanwhile, Steve Lewis has a devastating post describing what really happens in the VIP world frequented by Tiger and his alleged mistress Rachel Uchitel. Lewis explains the world dominated by bottle service, VIP hostesses and the special attention and services provided to whales and VIP athletes. Needless to say, facilitating access to hot girls is the top priority.
Finally, we’re starting to see cracks in the Tiger Woods marketing machine. Gatorade announced that they had discontinued a Tiger drink, though they claim the decision had been made before the controversy. Also, reports say that most Tiger commercials have been pulled from the air since the beginning of the month. That’s not a surprise.
What’s next?
The problem for Tiger Woods is that he’s now a punch line, and the sponsors hate that. George Lopez had a field day last night in his monologue. He’s focused on the tag lines used by Tiger’s sponsors and how they now have a new meaning with the scandal. Accenture says “Be a Tiger.” Nike says “Just Do it.” And, the best one is Gatorade which says “Is It In You?” Ouch! Check out the hilarious clip of Lopez above.
Tmz.com reported on December 8th that Tiger’s medical chart read that he had been admitted for a drug overdose the night of his crash.
Tiger Woods was admitted to Health Central Hospital the day after Thanksgiving as an overdose.
Sources connected with the hospital tell TMZ the admissions chart lists “OD” and that he was having trouble breathing.
We’re told the fifth floor of the hospital was put on lockdown when Tiger arrived. Tiger was admitted under an alias — William Smith. His wife, Elin Nordegren was by his side.
As we first reported, Elin gave paramedics two pill bottles at the accident scene — we now know the prescriptions were for Ambien and Vicodin. Tiger was in and out of consciousness, snoring at the scene, and our sources say he clearly appeared to be under the influence of something — not alcohol.
We’re also told doctors used a breathing tube to assist his respiration.
We’re also told hospital officials changed Tiger’s alias after a few hours to another alias because they feared people would find out he was there.
The bad news keeps coming for crazy Tiger Woods, as the number mistresses keeps rising. I think the current number is six. We finally have a real hottie thrown in the mix (see Jamie Jungers above)
Now Tiger is considering going on Oprah to salvage his reputation. In one sense it’s probably not a bad idea. On the other hand, who knows what his state of mind is right now. Even in his statement where he admitted “transgressions” he seemed to be pointing fingers at the media and not taking full responsibility. If he goes on Oprah with a chip on his shoulder he’s going to make things even worse.
Until now, Team Tiger seems interested in one thing and one thing only – protecting his public image to keep the money train going. Unless he’s really sorry for what he’s done (as opposed to being sorry for getting caught), he won’t be doing himself any good with an interview with Oprah.
The shit has now completely hit the fan. We learned yesterday from US Weekly that cocktail waitress Jaimee Grubbs was alleging that she also had an affair with Tiger. Today, US Weekly released a recording of a voice mail message Tiger allegedly left for Grubbs asking her to help him hide the affair from his wife, Elin Nordegren.
This is obviously a disaster for Tiger, who makes sick money pimping brands with his well-crafted image. Once audio or video gets out in public, one’s ability to manage public perception is seriously damaged.
I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.
Whatever regrets I have about letting my family down have been shared with and felt by us alone. I have given this a lot of reflection and thought and I believe that there is a point at which I must stick to that principle even though it’s difficult.
I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves. For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology.

Meanwhile, Brooks is on the case with new photos of another woman who is alleged to have had an affair with Tiger – Kalika Moquin.
US Weekly is reporting that a cocktail waitress from Los Angeles is claiming to have had an affair with Tiger Woods.
A Los Angeles cocktail waitress tells the new Us Weekly (on newsstands Wednesday) that she had a steamy 31-month fling with Tiger Woods and has a voicemail recording and text messages to prove it.
Jaimee Grubbs, now 24, tells Us Weekly she began having an affair with Woods, 33, in April 2007.
She tells Us Weekly they went on to have 20 sexual encounters.
I guess we shouldn’t be surprised to hear more stories like this. As with the Rachel Uchitel alleged affair, who know what to believe here. Needless to say this has all become a PR nightmare for Tiger Woods, one of the most bankable sports figures in history.
The difference here is that we have a woman who is claiming she had an affair with Tiger, as opposed to the Uchitel story where others are claiming an affair took place, with Uchitel denying it.

Rachel Uchitel has given a lengthy interview to the New York Post in which she again denies having an affair with Tiger Woods.
“I don’t want people like that around me. In my business, I am around celebrities and very rich people all the time. People look into it badly. People say all the time: ‘Rachel only hangs out with celebrities and rich people.’ It’s my job. I work in the nightclub industry. those are the people that come there, and the clients are my job.
“I’ve always been the director of VIP services, that’s my job — to know these people, to have a relationship with them, to hang out with them. It doesn’t mean I am having sex with them or an affair with them. These are people I hang out with and become friends with.
‘BUT Tiger and I are not friends. That’s a whole different ballgame. I’ve only met him twice. He came in to The Griffin [the Meatpacking District nightclub where she worked as a VIP hostess] in the summer. As usual in my job, I got a call from a promoter that he’s coming in. I went outside and brought him and his entire group in, walked them upstairs, introduced him to his waitress.
Is she credible? I have to admit that her story seems very plausible, and she seems stunned by the allegation that she had an affair with Tiger.
If she didn’t do it, the entire episode with Tiger’s accident becomes very ironic.
Several years ago, and bunch of photos of a gorgeous nude blonde were being passed around the Net with the claim that they were of the new wife of Tiger Woods – Elin Nordegren. Everyone believed it, as the nude blonde in the photos looked like Tiger’s beautiful bride. But that wasn’t the case – the photos were actually of Playboy model Kimberly Hiott (now one of our favorite models). Elin actually won a cash settlement and an apology from an Irish magazine for publishing the photos. Elin has been in the news lately as a result of the infamous Tiger Woods accident and all the surrounding intrigue.

Unless you’ve been in a drunken stupor over Thanksgiving weekend, you’ve heard about socialite Rachel Uchitel. The National Enquirer alleged over the weekend that Rachel Uchitel was having an affair with Tiger Woods, yet she’s denied it. After that allegation surfaced, Tiger Woods was involved in a bizarre car accident and many are speculating that the accident followed a confrontation with his wife, Elin Nordegren. The initial story about the accident seemed very peculiar, so the speculation is warranted, particularly since Tiger is now refusing to speak to the police. Did Elin Nordegren cause Tiger’s injuries during a confrontation? We have no idea and it will be interesting to see if the true story ever emerges.
