Remember those 1-900 numbers that men would use for dirty talk with women on the phone? Well, they’re pretty much being replaced by chatbots these days, only there’s no limit on how long you can chat!
For years, people have been whispering about it, joking about it, or quietly living it: relationships with AI chatbots. What started with people experimenting with flirty banter in ChatGPT or bonding with companion apps has turned into something much bigger. In fact, when OpenAI rolled out GPT-4o earlier this year, thousands of users publicly confessed that they’d formed real relationships with their AI partners — so much so that many were upset when GPT-5 replaced it, because the personalities felt different, colder, or more restrained.
Now, OpenAI is leaning into the trend instead of pretending it isn’t happening. Beginning in December 2025, “adult-verified” users will be able to unlock a more mature version of ChatGPT. The plan? Erotica, more natural intimacy, and an overall approach that treats adult users like… well, adults. CEO Sam Altman even spelled it out: “If you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human-like way … ChatGPT should do it.”
This will obvioulsy be a lot of fun for some people, while others will gt sucked in and create problems for themselves. Too many guys are already spending way too much time in their basements as opposed to getting out there and meeting real women!
